Happy Holidays everyone!
As we come to the end of another year and the first full year for LJ Consultancy I thought it would be nice to take this opportunity to reflect on how the year has gone and say a few thank you’s…
2015 proved to be an exciting year for LJ Consultancy as I was fortunate to meet and collaborate with some fantastic clients. The best part about my work is certainly the diversity of the organisations I have collaborated with as well as the projects themselves which have all provided me with a platform to share my expertise whilst also taking on new challenges and learning new skills. Thank you to all who I have had the pleasure of meeting and partnering with throughout 2015 you inspire me to explore different projects, I look forward to partnering again in the future.
As many of you know I also started my MA Gender, Violence and Conflict at The University of Sussex. Returning to academia after 11 years was a slight shock and somewhat challenging at first but certainly an experience which I love. Being able to put theory to practice has been refreshing as well as challenging my thoughts and experiences as a practitioner which is fantastic as I have always been a firm believer that ‘Every day is a school day’ and certainly as a practitioner we can never stop learning and experiencing in order to better ourselves but also our clients and the women and girls we work with.
Thank you also to family and friends who have supported me on this journey so far, your unconditional love and support really helps through the ups and downs a freelancer can often face….perhaps that’s a new year blog in the making but for now, thank you!
Thank you also to the girls and women I have had the privilege to meet and work with, you continue to inspire me on a daily basis, words won’t ever match up to the impact you continue to have on me both professionally and personally, thank you!
2016 is already shaping up to be an eventful second year for LJ Consultancy with new partnerships and exciting projects to work on. I look forward to what the New Year brings and who I shall meet along the way, if it is anything like 2105 I have no doubt 2016 shall offer just as many adventures.
Happy Holidays and New Year all!
